Project Overview
Defence infrastructure hardening and SCEC-approved access panel installation at the Myambat facility near Denman in the Upper Hunter. Koori Constructions was sub-contracted by Barpa (100% Aboriginal-owned tier-1 contractor) to deliver specialised building works for Thales Group, a global defence and aerospace company.
This project demonstrates Koori Constructions' capability to deliver high-security defence works in partnership with tier-1 contractors, and our capacity to meet the stringent security, quality, and documentation standards required by Defence and multinational defence suppliers.
Scope of Works
- SCEC-approved access panel installation to Defence security standards
- Infrastructure hardening of facility external envelope
- Secure storage area construction and fit-out
- Electrical and data cabling upgrades
- Site security compliance works
- Documentation and handover to Defence/Thales standards
- Coordination with Barpa project management and Thales security requirements
Outcomes
The project was delivered on time, on budget, and to the complete satisfaction of Barpa and Thales Group. All works met Defence security standards and were signed off without defect. The project established Koori Constructions as a trusted sub-contractor for Aboriginal-owned tier-1 contractors delivering Defence infrastructure projects.
