How We Work with Community Organisations

Principal Contractor

For community-led projects funded by grants (ABSTUDY, AHO, NIAA, IAS, or philanthropic), we contract directly with the Aboriginal organisation as principal contractor. We manage design coordination (if required), council approvals, trades, and certification. We work to fixed lump-sum contracts where scope is defined, or cost-plus for projects where design evolves during construction.

Subcontractor to Tier-1

Where a head contractor (Built, Dotbuild, ADCO, etc.) holds the head contract with government or a funding body, we subcontract to deliver carpentry, fitout, and building works. This is common for larger community facilities funded through state or federal programs where a tier-1 HC is mandated.

Funding & Grants Experience

We understand Aboriginal community funding cycles, reporting requirements, and staged payment structures. We can align invoicing to grant milestones, provide acquittal documentation, and work with community organisation boards and treasurers to ensure compliance with funding body requirements.
