Eleanor Duncan AMS Mardi Clinic
Aboriginal health clinic maintenance and facility upgrades
Project Overview
Koori Constructions delivered maintenance and facility upgrade works for the Eleanor Duncan Aboriginal Medical Service clinic in Mardi, Central Coast. Eleanor Duncan AMS provides primary healthcare, allied health, and community support services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the Central Coast region.
Engaged as a subcontractor to Rogers Building, we delivered carpentry, painting, and minor building works to maintain and improve the clinic's operational areas while the facility remained fully operational. Our works prioritised minimal disruption to patient services and compliance with health facility standards.
Scope of Works
- Internal painting and surface preparation across consultation rooms and administrative areas
- Door and window hardware upgrades for security and accessibility
- Ceiling and wall repairs to damaged or ageing surfaces
- Floor covering repairs and replacements
- Minor joinery and fitment repairs
- External painting and weatherproofing of timber elements
- Coordination with clinic operations to ensure zero service disruption
Outcomes
All maintenance and upgrade works were completed on time, within budget, and without disruption to Eleanor Duncan AMS's patient services. The project improved the presentation, functionality, and longevity of the clinic's facilities, supporting the organisation's delivery of essential Aboriginal health services.
This project demonstrates Koori Constructions' capability to deliver compliant, culturally appropriate construction works in live Aboriginal health facilities, working collaboratively with head contractors and health service operators.
