Granny Flats & Dual Occupancy

Complying development granny flats (SEPP-exempt or CDC) across Central Coast, Newcastle, Lake Macquarie. Turnkey service: design, approvals, build, handover. NDIS SDA-ready modifications available.

Why build a granny flat?

SEPP (Exempt and Complying Development Codes) 2008 makes granny flats (officially secondary dwellings) the fastest consent pathway in NSW residential construction. You get:

  • Rental income: Additional revenue stream
  • Ageing-in-place: Keep elderly parents or adult children close while maintaining independence
  • NDIS opportunity: SDA-ready design unlocks NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation funding pathways
  • Property value uplift: Dual-occupancy sites typically add significant value

Koori Constructions delivers turnkey granny flats — we handle structural design, certifier lodgement, all trades, council inspections, and handover. You get keys to a finished, complying, rentable dwelling.
