The job
Lena and Drew wanted the whole outside of the house changed — not a patch, the lot. The house was rendered and tired, and every elevation needed a different answer: something warm at the front where you walk up, something hard-wearing and low-maintenance on the sides and up top.
What we delivered
Three cladding systems across four elevations. Turpentine vertical timber to the lower front, Stratco to the upper front and rear, and James Hardie Matrix to both sides, with parapet flashings run around the whole house. Then the outdoor living: a Scyon front deck waterproofed and tiled, a front pergola, a rear window awning, a Cooldek pergola off the upper balcony, and a Colorbond fence with ironbark slats and a matching gate.
Scope of works
- Turpentine vertical timber cladding — lower front elevation
- Stratco cladding — upper front and rear elevations
- James Hardie Matrix — both side elevations
- Parapet flashings to the whole house
- Front deck — Scyon sheeting, waterproofed and tiled
- Front pergola and rear window awning — framing and roofing
- Upper-balcony Cooldek pergola, 4.8 × 1.9 m
- Two nib walls framed, lined, set, cornice and skirting
- Colorbond and ironbark-slat fence with gate

Outcome
Priced and claimed elevation by elevation, so Lena and Drew knew the cost of each side of the house before it started and paid as each one finished.
