Named to honour the Biripai people
The Biripai people are the Traditional Owners of Country along the mid-north coast of New South Wales. Their lands and waters stretch from the Hastings River to the Manning River region, encompassing the towns of Taree, Wingham, and surrounding areas. This design honours their ongoing connection to Country and recognises their custodianship of land and culture for tens of thousands of years.
